A Call...A Vision...A Heart that Understands and Serves

As a child, Traci found herself naturally encouraging women in leadership; such as Sunday School teachers, school teachers, Girl Scout leaders, and adult family members. She did not realize that this encouragement was a gift and CALL from God. The inspiration continued throughout life, and after being married to a pastor, that stirring began to be directed towards wives of pastors. However, Traci was not yet fully equipped to execute the depths of ministry and support these special women needed.

Through several experiences and challenges, Traci slowly realized that women married to pastors needed to to have an environment with other women where they were comfortable removing masks and being their true selves. God began to pour His VISION into Traci of providing a safe place for women who served alongside their husbands in marriage and ministry. God taught her to be genuine in order to reach their hearts, model fun, and allow His precious daughters to laugh or cry, while being willing to talk about the hard parts that often come with being married to a pastor.

The challenges Traci experienced and the trials she faced cultivated her HEART of compassion and UNDERSTANDING that only other pastors' wives can relate to. She often felt discouraged, alone, and unsure of who to talk to or trust, and she found it difficult to find a space where she was comfortable sharing experiences or asking questions. That's because God had something unique in mind, and that was for Traci to be the one to create this type of sacred space. Using her gifts of encouragement, creativity, prayer, and teaching - the ministry of Lady First was created to encourage pastors' wives. Someone had to be willing to be vulnerable, honest, and take the risk of being different in order to meet the needs of God's most beautiful and amazing women...the wives of pastors. That someone is Traci Mason, and the incredible team God's led to support the vision.

In addition to worshiping through music and dance, and reading God's word, Traci loves people and enjoys traveling. Additionally, she enjoys writing, being outside, walking, cooking, baking, and creating items with her hands. She often speaks at conferences and Christian events, and has ministered in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, the Philippines, and Panama. She lives in the Chicago-area with her husband of over 30 years, Pastor Mack C. Mason

Stronger Together Team

The true beauty and best part of our ministry is the women who show up and support one another. It can be extremely rare or difficult for women, especially pastors' wives, to come forth with authenticity and understanding, free of judgement, competition, or wearing masks that hide true emotions. These ladies share their gifts; but most of all their hearts, as they remember that God did not design pastors' wives to do life alone and are so much stronger together.
